Testimonials

Exceeded expectations!
This new, fine-dining restaurant is exactly what's needed in the South East which suffers from a lack of top-end venues to eat. The classically designed interior could be in the heart of London, reminding me of Incognito, Shaftesbury Avenue. With No.17 wine bar opposite for pre-dinner drinks, these beautiful, exciting, high-end places are putting Westerham on the map providing luxury experiences without the need to suffer the journey to and from London. One to watch for Awards - it won't be long before we all struggle to book a table at The Old Bank.

Great service with impressive menu!
Tempting canapés were a lovely surprise. Excellent food - delicious, full of flavour and very well presented. We all chose different dishes, tasted each others and decided we could all have happily eaten every one of them. Barman mixes great cocktails! Very good value and the fixed prices are welcome. Very enjoyable evening, great to finally have a local high end restaurant.

One of the best dining experiences of 2018
That meal blew us away! Outstanding food and presentation. How lucky Westerham is to have Adam Turley in the town. We went with a group of foodies and we all came away totally euphoric. Marvellous!

Unqualified Success!
It was my/our first time at the "Old Bank Restaurant"  and no doubt that you will be to learn that the four of us rated it an unqualified success.  The reception was warm friendly without being over familiar.  The ambience is relaxed and the waiting staff good.  The meals that we four chose were all deemed to be delicious, the portions just right and enjoyable.  One has to say that the dishes we chose were imaginative, exciting , delicious and a joy to one's palette.  We were fortunate enough to speak with Chef-owner and we can only say , more power to his elbow,  Our collective thanks to all at " The Old Bank" for a memorable lunch.   Oh yes, we’ve already recommended the restaurant to friends.

Amazing place!
We went to this amazing restaurant a week ago. The restaurant its self is trendy & beautifully decorated with a nod to the bank that was previously there. The food was lovely & so well presented. A good choice of locally sourced ingredients. There is a fabulously well stocked bar. With a good range of wines & spirits plus fizz of course. Adam the owner & head chef is a delight. Go see for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

A great dining asset to the area!
I went to The Old Bank yesterday lunch time with three friends. It wasn’t a planned venue, as we were booked to go up to Mayfair, however all trains to London Victoria were cancelled, so one of our group suggested we went to this new restaurant. What an inspirational decision.
We received a very warm welcome from The Maitre’d, and the service was exemplary and professional.
The food was imaginative and delicious, and not a crumb was left by any of us. We choose two wines during our lunch, both were devine on the palette, and a great accompaniment to the food, and they soon evaporated!
So, after a potentially disastrous start to our ladies lunch plans, we had a top class lunch experience without all the hassle of Southern Rail! Result! We’ll be returning very soon to The Old Bank.

5 star find!
It’s rare to find a restaurant of this quality tucked away in a quaint Kent village... stunning... if you are thinking of booking them don’t hesitate... this will be a restaurant in high demand and I can’t wait to return...

Delicious elegant food, great service
We ate at The Old Bank last night with friends. The welcome to this newly opened restaurant was charming, and the menu provided choices that tempted everyone. Having all chosen different starters and mains (and sampled each other’s!) we gave 5 stars to every dish for taste and presentation. It is real find and right up there with top London restaurants without the price tag. It’s a pleasure to have fixed price menus of this quality. The service was delightful, ambience elegant and restful, and they know how to mix a cocktail.
Open at lunchtimes too. Highly recommended.

Just what Westerham needs
Living locally and hearing about the restaurant, and eagerly awaiting the renovation of the old NatWest building- I was so excited to try out the menu.
My parents and I visited for lunch on Sunday for my birthday. The restaurant had only been open for five days. From start to finish I was impressed.
The interior is lovely - not as big as I expected but a lovely ambience. The staff were very attentive. You could tell the team of waiting staff were obviously new. Not through any faults but an air of nervousness to do their best.
It is the higher end of prices for Westerham - but I am personally willing to pay it for good service and good food. The food was delicious. The crab starter was mouth watering. The soufflé dessert was probably the best dessert I’ve ever had.
The restaurant manager was a perfect host and got the balance right between serving and making you feel welcome.

Delicious Food, Great Service
Knowing the reputation of those involved in this new venture we were looking forward to it. Although Old Bank is small tables are well spaced and being Saturday evening it had a bit of a buzz but not noisy. Canapés of goats cheese, crispy chicken, and smoked salmon were excellent as were the three different home made breads. There is a good choice on the menu. Carpaccio of venison being particularly good and beautifully presented. We had mains of roasted lamb sirloin which was perfectly cooked with delicately tasty accompaniments and a beautiful halibut dish. We are not big on puddings but the soufflé desert was the lightest and smoothest we can recall. With a good bottle of Cahors from an interesting sensibly priced wine list it made a really enjoyable meal. Service was informal, friendly and attentive throughout, We will certainly be back.

Delightful!
It was our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant, the surroundings the staff and especially the food were delightful. Thank you and we look forward to returning soon.
